Celebrating for Wine

August 22nd, 2014 suvinowineryaz

In the world of celebrations, wine is often a go-to in a number of areas, including birthdays, weddings, graduations, and plenty of more. But in those instances, wine is secondary, and it should be for those occasions because the focus of the celebration is on someone or something else, such as a couple or a single person. The wine is for them, and the celebration isn’t for the wine.

But that doesn’t mean there aren’t instances where wine is the center of the celebration and should be the focus of that celebration. Places like the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival where entire sessions are focused solely on incredible bottles of wine. Particularly on bottles of wine that are rare and old, such as a hundred year old sherry that only has seven bottles of it in existence.

When a wine is that rare, it can most certainly be used as the front of the celebration by celebrating just how unique and special that wine is. In fact, it would be best to say that with a wine that old and rare, the focus should always be on that wine when it is used. But you just don’t get that many people who do focus on the wine, or enjoy just celebrating because they have a rare bottle of wine.

Hopefully with more places like the Food and Wine Festival appearing across the United States we will start to see more and more people that just enjoy the wine they find, and the unique bottles, because if no one is enjoying these rare wines, then what’s the point?
